Maker Badges

3D Printing

The 3D Printing badge is available to Nebraska Innovation Studio (NIS) members who have successfully completed the studio’s 3D printing trainings. Earning this badge demonstrates foundational competency in additive manufacturing processes, including Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM), Stereolithography (SLA), and Selective Laser Sintering (SLS). Badge holders are proficient in the safe and effective use of NIS's 3D printing equipment and workflows.

Drone Pilot Training

Ready for take-off! This 2-day comprehensive course will prepare you for the FAA Aeronautical Knowledge Test. Also known as the Part 107 exam, this is the required starting point for anyone planning to fly drones commercially. Our expert instruction and interac tive learning materials will guide you through the exam’s complexities, ensuring you are fully prepared to take to the skies as a certified commercial drone pilot. This class will also feature hands-on drone flying experience.

The FAA requires participants taking the aeronautical knowledge exam be 16 and older and be able to read and speak English.

Recreational Drones

Universal Robotics CORE

Master the robotics and automation tools of the future! 

Universal Robots’ CORE Certification curriculum offers a comprehensive three-day program giving participants the skills they need to excel in robot operations. Covering programming, operating, troubleshooting, optimizing and more, this hands-on course equips individuals with the skills they need to navigate the world of collaborative and industrial robotics. 

After successful completion of the class, participants are able to receive an industry-recognized certification in robotic operation and programming.
