A Space for Making

Nebraska Innovation Studio (NIS) is a community-oriented makerspace that serves as a hub for innovators, artists, and entrepreneurs. NIS is one of the nation's top makerspaces, a 16,000-square-foot facility with a full metal shop, wood shop, rapid prototyping room, art studio, ceramics and textiles equipment, and more.

NIS is open to anyone, and membership is month-to-month.

How It Works

NIS members pay a monthly fee to use our facilities, tools and equipment. Members use NIS for their businesses, to prototype designs, to create art, for school projects, for home, and for fun. Most of our equipment requires training before use — but don’t worry, it’s free and included with membership. After joining NIS, members can reserve equipment or sign up for trainings on our website.

Non-members can still take advantage of the equipment and expertise at Nebraska Innovation Studio through our Request a Maker program. With Request a Maker, non-members can connect with NIS members for custom projects. Non-members can also visit the Maker Market page to see more information about the many skilled artisans and artists at NIS.
