Erin will be using the Robert Hillestad Studio for Creativity in Textiles to grow her clothing label Alta + Evelyn. During her time at NIS she will primarily focus on developing the children’s clothing segment of her brand. Erin will use the resources at NIS to streamline her construction process and explore new techniques.
ABOUT ERIN:
Erin Smith is a graduate of the Textile, Merchandising and Fashion Department at UNL. While in school she explored using vintage textiles to create garments and has continued to use them to create one-of-a-kind pieces. Her brand A+E launched in 2022. Her work has been displayed in the Robert Hillestad Gallery, walked the runway for Omaha Fashion week and showcased at The International Quilt Museum.
