Brooke is dedicated to turning the Cattle Kettle Monitor, a prototype automating water management for cattle producers, into a polished commercial product. Combining hardware and software solutions, the device is designed to enhance ranch efficiency while withstanding the harsh conditions of agricultural environments.
Her focus during the Fellowship is on improving the durability and functionality of the hardware. Leveraging advanced tools at NIS, including the robotic welder, additive manufacturing equipment, and feels-like prototyping techniques, Brooke aims to refine the CK Monitor for small-batch manufacturing. This hardware-focused effort complements Cattle Kettle’s ongoing software development through the Raikes School Startup Studio, further advancing the company’s mission to streamline water management to meet the rigorous demands of ranchers, providing a scalable solution to a critical industry need.
